27 Angelus Academy Families showed up on Saturday to scrub and polish our school 'til it shined!!
THANK YOU to all families and 12 faculty members who worked so hard inside and out. Angelus Academy never looked better!

Dear Angelus Academy Parents,
We all know that faith, family, and friends sustain us in our journey through life. So too, do we know that the faith, family, and friends of our children sustain them, nurture them, encourage them, and form their character over the years of their young lives. In our efforts to develop virtuous behavior, we have chosen to surround them with like-minded families at Angelus Academy.
To celebrate and support the education of our children, we will hold the 9th annual auction this fall. The 2009 Angelus Academy dinner auction, with its Elegant Fiesta theme, will be held at the Fairfax County Country Club. The Auction Committee is working to ensure that the November 7 event is well-attended with those who also believe in the importance of character formation and training in virtue among our students at Angelus. Please let us know of any and all friends and family who might like to attend the Auction.
We will also need help updating our guest list database. Do you enjoy such behind-the-scenes tasks? Let us know if you can lend a hand.
Finally, and most importantly, no effort this large will be possible without prayer. Please pray for the intercession of St. Raphael for a successful (and fun) annual auction this fall!!! Fiesta!!!

Angelus Uniform Sale
On Monday, August 31 (also known as the first day of school) from 8 a.m until Noon, Angelus Academy will hold a school uniform sale.
Thanks to Mrs. Jodi Shlesinger, we will be selling used Angelus school uniforms, new PE uniforms, and used PE uniforms.
Also, if you are planning on purchasing new Angelus uniforms, go to http://www.landsend.com. You can look up our school's information under their link to "School Uniforms." Order now and don't be late!

Virginia Sales Tax Holiday!
We all know how expensive "Back to School" shopping can be.
Angelus Academy would like to remind you of the upcoming sales tax holiday, which is August 7th through 9th. During this holiday certain school supplies, clothing, and footwear will be exempt from the Virginia sales tax.
All school supplies selling for $20 or less per item, and articles of clothing, including footwear, selling for $100 or less per item, will be exempt from sales tax. To view a full list of the items that are included in the sales tax holiday click here.
